Speaking of Canadian art (CLASSY SEGUE, I KNOW) I went to watch some shorts at the Atlantic Film Festival, tonight. Ho ho, don't I own the most pretentious pants around these parts. I really wanted to park my butt in front of Burn After Reading, but someone else insisted on some class, so Canadiana it was. Conclusions? The Quebecois own this country when it comes to ~art, and everyone else can go home. Lord, the burning guilt I feel from the only film that mattered out of seven will probably never leave me.

Ah, shit. I blame the fact that I was full of a bottle of cheap blush wine when I emailed you 32423434 times last night. Yes, they may be eating cats. They eat fucking like, gross things - rhinos, a deer - in this horrible ritualistic carnage that is meant to blatantly symbolize our own consumption of resources. It's utterly revolting, it's the most terrifying thing I've seen in years. There's one character who tries to stop, who doesn't want to eat with a constant and terrible vigour, but she does anyway, and her hypocrisy doesn't absolve her any more than being liberally-minded absolves us for driving our cars and wear our slave-jeans.

CIFF. Oh, Krista. I hope she met Joshua Jackson with his brain tumour movie. I hear he's sending Katie Holmes love letters these days. :O

Dude, how much am I enjoying Octoberman??? Christ, I've listened to their entire MySpace playlist. Nicely done. I just bought their album off of White Whale. The actual CD. So quaint. They are like the final outcome of all the music I already have and love. *CREEPY LOVE EYES FOR INTRODUCING ME*
