Post the three songs you're singing most in the shower right now. Not the three you wish you were singing, but the three that you actually are.
01. Pony Up! - The Truth About Cats and Dogs (Is That They Die) ( I also do the skeleton dance that appears at the very end of their video )
02. Octoberman - Run From Safety (You can listen to it on their myspace, along with a fucking gorgeous live version)
03. Beirut - Nantes ( actually I just go bayum-bum-bum into my shower-tuba )
04. Beirut - The Penalty ( and then that inevitably leads to a terrifyingly off-key version of this )
Cheating, I know! But at least two out of my three artists are dashing and Canadian. Speaking of Canadian art (CLASSY SEGUE, I KNOW) I went to watch some shorts at the Atlantic Film Festival, tonight. Ho ho, don't I own the most pretentious pants around these parts. I really wanted to park my butt in front of Burn After Reading, but someone else insisted on some class, so Canadiana it was. Conclusions? The Quebecois own this country when it comes to ~art, and everyone else can go home. Lord, the burning guilt I feel from the only film that mattered out of seven will probably never leave me.
ETA: and yeah, here's the entire Octoberman album, if you're interested.
